   CHAA  PROJECTS

The Roofing Project fully funded and sponsored by the Alumni  of Carroll High School was  headed by the Steering Committee in the diaspora. The project  was  supervised by CHAA Liberia and the School Administration.

In 2017,  CHAA-Liberia Board Member, Hon. Paul Romeo David visited Carroll High School Campus and saw the need to restore the Cobras  basketball court. Hon. David made funding available and asked Varney Bimba and Paye Bill Gabie to supervise and implementation of  the project to the  restor the basket court to its pre-war status.

On February 9, 2024,  the Carroll High Alumni Association Liberia members and those in the diaspora raise funding and through the leadership provided chairs to be used in the auditorium of the school and teachers’ lounge. 

Paye Bill Gabie and Betty Mensah-Flahn negotiated on behalf of CHAA Liberia with Cellcom Liberia Inc in February 2015 through its Corporate Development Manager Kimmie Weeks.  Funding was provided to spray the school and its environment. The project was awarded to Graliver Agriculture Trading Enterprise, Inc. CHAA former Vice President Sam Harris supervised the spraying project for the Alumni Association along with Mrs. Mary Dickson. Mrs. Mabel Lamadine, former Student and CEO of Graliver Agriculture Trading Enterprise Inc gave 20% of the workmanship cost as her contribution to CHAA.

The drums project was undertaken by the Carroll High Alumni Association Liberia (CHAA).

In December 2014, the former Board Chairman, the late Madame F. Foldesi, supervised the text book project undertaken by the CHAA-Liberia. The project was sponsors by the United States Ambassdor’s Self Help Funds (Monrovia-Liberia) to enable Carroll High School students  have access to prescribed text books by the Ministry of Education, Liberia.

Star Longman Books Store Liberia Inc made additional text books avaiable also at no cost as contribution to education. The then Cellcom Liberia now Orange Liberia grace the occation with Liberian cultureal dancers and comedians.

Carroll High Alumni Association Liberia under the leadership of Hon. Joe Hoover Gbadyu undertook numerous renovaion projects within the school. As the President Gbadyu , during one of his visits toured the facilities of the school’s campus and spoke to students on plans of restoring the school to its pre-war stutus, he  received a call from Cobra Charles B. Nehwah Jr informing him that he, Charles had computers to donate to CHAA for use by the students.  The purpose of the donation was  to help the students be part of the digital and technological age, and his way of giving back to his former school.  President Gbadyu quickly took delivery of the computers , set up a team and charged them with the responsibility to set up a computer lab within the school. Today, the school has one of the biggest computer labs in Yekepa.
